MODELS

We stock plastic, resin and vac form kits. Some of kits include metal parts and can be upgraded with the use of conversion or upgrade kits.

Glue is not always required as many modern kits are screwed or snapped together. This can speed up the model making time and is also less messy for those of us who are not so precise with our glue!

Gift sets are also available.

MILITARY VEHICLES
You will find a wide variety of vehicles from Centurions, Tigers and T34s to Ambulances, Jeeps and Motorbikes! Many vehicles can be seen for real in the Land Warfare Hall at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford. If you have time, we can describe what it feels like to drive / command / ride or be near some of them when they start up!

AIRCRAFT
World War I
We have a variety of WWI aircraft covering various skill levels, ages and scales. The Sopwith Camel is a favourite so we have several types of this aircraft – trench fighter, “ships camel” etc.

World War II
Bombers, fighters, US, British, German

We also have a wide range of aircraft from between the wars leading up to the modern day, including both civilian and military. The kits range from snap together mini-kits to 1:32 scale aircraft and the RAF S.E.5a to the EF2000 Typhoon.

Conversion and upgrade kits are also available for certain aircraft.

SHIPS & SUBMARINES
Is your mantlepiece big enough to cope with 1/72 scale models of the H.M.C.S. Snowberry and the Type VIIC/41 German U-boat? Plus the German Navy figures?

If it is, then you won’t need to look at the 1/700 scale water line series!

Ships range from the Cutty Sark, the H.M.S. Victory to the Tirpitz, Bismark, the Russian Sovremenny Class Destroyer and the U.S.S. Roosevelt. The scales and skill levels vary as do the prices.

CARS
From rally to Formula 1 to road cars our range includes BMW, Subaru, Peugeot, Nissan, Porsche, Renault, Lotus, Alfa Romeo, Ferrari and Honda to name a few!

You can also purchase a rally mechanics set to help out with those between stage repair moments!

MOTORBIKES, TRAINS & DIGGERS
We have a good selection of plastic kits for all skill levels.

The motorbikes feature screw together ranges as well as the usual plastic kits. They include bikes ridden by Valentino Rossi and Barry Sheene. Photo etched parts are available separately for some bikes.

The trains vary in skill and scale and include models ranging from 1/87 to 1/35. Photo etched parts are included as standard with some models.

The diggers are “easykits” from Revell. They can be easily clipped together and there is no glueing or painting required. They are suitable for 6 years and older.

FIGURES
Figures can add a different dimension to dioramas and your completed models. There is a large military range to go with your submarines, tanks and aircraft (German navy figures, Russian Army Tank Crew at rest and NATO pilots and ground crew etc) but figure modelling covers many more centuries than just the 20th and 21st.

Why not have a go at building a French Knight from the 15th Century or a Roman Legionary from the 1st Century?

SPACE AND THINGS GALACTICAL
Rockets, Space Shuttles, Space Stations.

The 3 stage Ferry Rocket is being assembled in the shop as we speak. The instructions are clear and even a fairly inexperienced modeller can follow the diagram and find the parts easily! This kit comes with instructions and a brief history of the development. The scale is 1:288.

PHOTO ETCH
Photo etched parts are another way of enhancing your model. They can be purchased separately to add to your plastic kit and cover most types of vehicle or they may already be included in your kit.

ACCESSORIES
So, you’ve built your machine and figures, what will you add to your scene now?
The accesory kits are a good way of adding further equipment to your scene – tank supplies and ammunition, for example.

You could also build your own diorama by including bridges (wooden and stone), derelict farm buildings and German bunkers. These can be purchased separately or you could buy a more complete diorama.

Dioramas:
The diorama kits include the landscape base, plastic kits for vehicles/ammunition, decals and instructions. Although they don’t include figures, paints or glue these can be purchased separately.

Similar to the Tamiya Model Magazine but concentrating on the military aspect of model making

Model Airplane International
A magazine devoted to the aircraft side of modelling, including both military and civilian.

All three magazines offer reviews of recent issues and previews of new products combined with technical advice. They also include readers’ letters, book reviews and useful directories of suppliers.

Our greetings cards and calendars can be combined with our models as they include:
